??Intriguing Italy

Have you wanted to go to Italy?
This escorted tour may be just what you are looking
for.  It is a way to see the highlights
and historic sites without going on your own.
This tour begins with the flight from Wichita
to Rome where you will see the Colosseum, the Vatican Museums and St Peter’s Basilica.  The Vatican Museums are not only home to one
of the world’s greatest collections of art, but also the world-famous Sistine
Chapel, both which you will enjoy with a three hour in-depth tour given by a
local expert guide.  The final stop is
St. Peter’s Basilica one of the most important churches in Christendom.  After lunch, it’s on to a locally guided
panoramic tour of Rome
featuring the Piazza Venezie and the Colosseum. Following the evening dinner
with the Tenors at a very popular Roman restaurant, you’ll enjoy the ‘Rome by Night’ Tour.
The next day your tour manager will help you discover the
origin and history of the languages you will experience on your tour along with
key words and phrases that will help you communicate with the locals. Then you
will continue on a scenic journey through Tuscany’s
graceful low lying hills enroute to Siena
for a walking tour there.   Then it is on
to Florence,
and a cultural tour of the area including a visit to the burial place of
Michelangelo, Galileo and Machiavelli.
The rest of the day is on your own to do your own thing.  Another one of the highlights of this tour is
a Tuscan Feast where you enjoy an evening of traditional Tuscan food at a
popular local dining establishment.  The
dinner is served family style and features local wines and entertainment.
Then you start your next day with a trip to a historic
winery in the heart of the Chianti region with its own 12th century
castle before a journey through central Italy.  Enchanting Venice awaits you with 117 tiny islands and
its latticework of 150 canals and 400 bridges. There you will enjoy dinner at a
very popular Venicetian restaurant located adjacent to, and overlooking, the Grand Canal.
Next you begin the day with a boat trip to MuranoIsland
for an up close glass making demonstration.
Then on returning to Venice,
you will visit St. Marks Square,
the lively hub of the city’s activity and events.
You will also travel to the picturesque Italian Lake
District and cross over into Switzerland
and the lakeside resort of Lugarno with beautiful views of Lake Lugarno
and excellent shopping opportunities.
Upon returning to Italy,
you will enjoy time in the town of Como.  A special treat awaits you with a Lake Como
Cruise, another highlight of your vacation in Italy.  Following this cruise, it’s on to Milan
Malpensa for a farewell dinner celebrating the end of an unforgettable trip as
the next day, you will return to the airport for your flight home.

New York City is called the city that never sleeps and you will discover styles that change quickly and a way of life that is always in motion.  It is one of the hottest cities, and after visitors get their first taste of the city, they want to come back for more.
It is one of the most popular American destinations for all visitors from the east coast to the west coast and abroad.  Planning your trip is exciting as there are so many things to consider before you go.  In order to make the most of the vacation, visitors should pre-plan what Broadway shows they want to see.  They should also plan to do “a hop on - hop off” tour inan open air double decker bus to get an overview of the city.  There are so many different neighborhoods waiting to be discovered with museums, cultural attractions, nightlife, restaurants, central park, Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty, harbor tours. The options are endless.
The weather in The City varies depending on the season.  Spring is chilly and a light jacket might be needed, summers can be very hot though not as humid as the south, fall is usually cooler but nice, and winters can be very cold as far as temperatures.
Family vacations tend to be popular in NYC for those that want the excitement and energy of a big city vacation.  Of special interest to families is the American Museum
of Natural History, Tisch Children’s Zoo in Central Park, Empire State Building, Top of the Rock at Rockefeller  Center, and not to be missed,  is at least one Broadway Show
for the family such as The Lion King, Mary Poppins, or Shrek the Musical.
You can see it all and do it all on a spectacular vacation that gives you exclusive entry into New York’s famous sites with a package designed byMary’s Certified Travel.  Packages
can be booked that includes accommodations in midtown Manhattan whichis convenient for visiting Rockefeller Center, Central Park, and Broadway theatres.  You can also include your options for reserved seats at a hit Broadway show, lunch at the ‘Tavern on the Green’ in Central Park, admission to the Top of the Rock Observation Deck at Rockefeller Center, Statue of Liberty Ferry tickets, admission to Ground Zero and Lower Manhattan’s  walking tour and much more.  To find out more call Mary Downs, Mary’s

Cruising has never been more affordable than it is in 2010.  You can choose from many destinations and still find affordable prices.  With so many destinations and so much to do on today’s cruise ships it is becoming a very popular alternative for a vacation whether it be a family reunion, honeymoon, family vacation, anniversary celebration, or just a relaxing vacation for two.

RUOne of the benefits of cruising is the fact that you only unpack once and still see many different ports on the same vacation. Nothing on earth compares to the value of a cruise.  The  cost of a cruise includes your meals (with the exception of the specialty restaurants found on the ships today that need reservations), your stateroom , room service, entertainment which includes the evening shows and karaoke to name a few.  Almost every shipboard activity is included.

The cruise lines keep coming up with new ideas for entertainment options.  Among the latest to be announced is the Blue Man Group which will headline the new ship, Norwegian EPIC.

Royal Caribbean just announced the Broadway show Hairspray will be another entertainment option on their new ship OASIS OF THE SEAS along with the ‘Aqua Theatre Experience,’ and many other firstsfor a cruise ship.  This ship will truly be a destination in itself.

Entertainment options vary from ship to ship and change frequently.  You never know when a headliner entertainer might get on board and do a show one night in the theater and then depart the ship the next day.

Disney Cruise Line always has top rated family entertainment on their ships including the many Disney productions being shown.

Cruise planning is essential to make sure you will have a dream vacation.

Just because you saw an ad for a $399 cruise does not mean that is the best cruise for you.  More than likely that is the price for an inside cabin which may not be what you want at all and does not include port taxes.

It is not about how much you spend but what you get for the amount you spend andif you will enjoy your cruise.  Decide when you want to cruise, how much you want to spend, what type of activities you are looking for, if you want the inside, ocean-view, or verandah cabin, and what destinations you want to see. The options are endless.

Call Mary at Mary’s Certified Travel, 620-624-4234, to learn what your options are and how you can get the very best vacation for the money spent.

Remember, it i stime to start planning that cruise to Alaska for this summer, or plan a Canada-New England cruise, or cruise to the Caribbean, the Mexican Riviera, Hawaii, or Europe.
